Horseheads units responded early in the morning a a report of an electrical fire in the main electrical junction room for the entire Appleridge complex. The fire was extinguished by the sprinkler system before the Fire Department's arrival, there was minimal damage to the building, and no injuries, however, there was extensive damage to the complex's electrical system. Residents were forced to move out of the building for several days while power was temporarily restored.
