Horseheads units responded to a fire in an air handling unit on the roof of Elmira Litho, located in the holding point. Upon arrival 1001 found a working fire. Mutual aide was utilized from Town & Country, Elmira Heights and Big Flats Fire Departments, and the fire was brought under control within the hour. The air handling unit was a total loss to the tune of 2 million dolars, however the building itself was undamaged. The air handling unit was due to be serviced one week from the date of the fire. | |
